A severely autistic man who did not arrive at Sheerness railway station yesterday morning has been found.

Grant Weller, 28, was dropped at Sittingbourne by carers at about 9am for him to go to Sheerness for the day.

They saw him onto the train but alarms were raised when the Sittingbourne resident did not arrive at his destination.

Police today said Mr Weller had been located safe and well and thanked everyone who helped in the search.
