Who do you want to become the face of Beauty Academy South East in Sittingbourne?

A competition to become the face of Sittingbourne-based beauty training academy is hotting up and organisers want your help to decide the winner.

A total of 22 entries have been received from across Kent and beyond.

The winner will become the face of Beauty Academy South East (Base), based in the town’s High Street, and feature on all the company’s promotional material.

They will also receive a makeover and get their hair styled as well as starring in a fantasy photoshoot of their choice with Cherrysnaps Photography in Medway.

Women from Sittingbourne, Iwade, Minster, Medway, Rainham, Upnor, Strood, Faversham, Maidstone, Aylesford, Clacton, Hoo, Dover, Burham have entered the contest, with entrants ranging from 18 to 47.

The academy, which opened less than a month ago, is the brainchild of Tania Emery, 45, and provides high quality training courses in anything from nails to and makeup.

Having spent 25 years as a beauty therapist, she decided to start the business after experiencing low quality post-graduate courses, which she felt did not give her a good level of knowledge.

“It’s a really good that entries have come from all around Kent. I want to push Base all around the county as people travel for training,” said Miss Emery, who lives in Iwade.

“The fact that I’ve had entries from places as far afield as Clacton and Dover is really good as it’s all about spreading the word throughout Kent.

“I’m really pleased.”

Entries will close at midnight on Sunday and the winner is expected to be announced the following day.
