Sittingbourne: Car and lorry collide in Castle Road on the Eurolink Industrial Estate leaving two people needing hospital treatment

A man in his 80s had to be taken to hospital in London after an accident involving a car and a lorry on the Eurolink Industrial Estate in Sittingbourne.

Police and the ambulance service were called to Castle Road, at the Stadium Way roundabout, after the crash at about 11.10am today.

The man was a front-seat passenger in the car and suffered head and chest injuries. He was taken to King’s College Hospital.

Two other passengers were also injured, although were not believed to have been seriously hurt.

One was a man in his 50s who also had a head injury and was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham.

The casualties were treated by a large team of medics, including a critical care paramedic, from South East Coast Ambulance Service.
