Manager Gary Abbott has told his Sittingbourne players to aim for the Ryman League Division 1 South title.

With leaders Folkestone likely to incur a 10-point penalty for off-field financial reasons, the Brickies are set to unexpectedly find themselves in touch with the top of the table.

Abbott pictured said: "We are in great form, except for a blip against Met Police last week, confidence is high. We look dangerous every time we go forward and we are scoring goals for fun.

"If Folkestone do lose the 10 points then there is no reason why we can’t go on and win it. There will be no pressure on us whatsoever.

"We can beat anyone on our day and are playing good attacking football. The players are starting to believe how good they can be."

Bourne will welcome in-form Horsham YMCA – who are level on points with the Brickies – to Bourne Park tomorrow (Saturday) looking to continue a five-game winning sequence which has seen them score 16 goals.

Abbott said: "Horsham have turned it around and have been on a good run and scoring goals themselves. We will have our work cut out but we won’t worry about them too much.

Bourne are at full strength and Jimmy Bottle and Elie Kayembe are likely to continue after resting knocks in midweek.
