Police appealing for witnesses after spate of thefts from vehicles in Sittingbourne

Dozens of cars have been targeted by thieves.

Police are appealing for help with a number of crimes in and around Sittingbourne between September 19-27.

These include: Number plates with the registration L557 RHU stolen from an Audi parked in Breach Lane, Lower Halstow – XY/033693/14.

Coins taken from a Kia in Canterbury Road, Sittingbourne, between September 19-23 and a Vauxhall parked in London Road, Sittingbourne, between September 21-23 – XY/033816/14; XY/033813/14.

Keys and an iPod missing from a Vauxhall in The Street, Bapchild, overnight on September 21 – XY/033694/14.

A wallet and sat nav missing from a Peugeot in Recreation Way, Kemsley, overnight on September 19 – XY/033771/14.

Safety glasses and sunglasses missing from a Volkswagen Caddy in Rose Walk, Eden Village, on September 21 –XY/033831/14.

It is not known what was taken from the following vehicles:

A Ford flatbed truck in Great Easthall Way, Great Easthall, between 4.55pm and 5.10pm on September 24 – XY/034058/14.

Mazda 323, between 4.30pm on September 24 and 7.40am on September 25, Jarretts Court, Wykeham Road, Murston –XY/034072/14.

Audi A3 between 5.30pm on September 24 and 8.30am on September 25 in School Lane, Iwade – XY/034078/14.

Hyundai i10 between 6pm on September 25 and 8.20am on September 26 in Adisham Green, Kemsley – XY/034262/14.

Ford Fiesta, in Barnfields Court, Great Easthall, between 8pm on September 26 and 8.50am on September 27 – XY/034320/14.

Vauxhall Astra between midnight and 6am on September 27 in Maylam Gardens, Sittingbourne – XY/034327/14.

Another Vauxhall Astra, in Denbigh Close, Milton Regis, between 7pm on September 26 and 8.30am on September 27 – XY/034469/14.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting the reference number.
