Beginning his mission on March 8, Sam and his parents created a Facebook group asking the public and businesses to donate items.

Along with his parents, Lyndsey 38, and Rob, 44, Sam has been selling raffle tickets for experience days, beauty treatments, pressure washers and much more.

Sam said: "There have been so many prize donations and more people have been asking to donate!

"We just want to say a big thank you to everyone that's donated and brought tickets so far."

He also wrote to Morrisons in Sittingbourne and asked if they’d be willing to help.

The store’s Community Champion, Sal Candy, said: “I was approached by Sam to see if we could donate a raffle prize to his cause and of course we could.

“I invited him to the store and we donated a £10 Morrisons voucher.

“Sam is a fantastic young lad and a credit to his parents.

“He is determined and positive to raise as much money as possible for this cause.”

Initially Sam dreamt of raising £300, and has already smashed his target, however he is still looking for more donations.

"At the time, I said I wanted to do another fundraiser afterwards and I decided on a raffle.

"The war was an opportunity for me to do that, to help them and make a difference."

The Hall family are still awaiting confirmation for several additional prizes.

"We just want to say a big thanks to everybody that's donated everybody, 100% of the prizes have been donated, so 100% of the money is going directly to the Disasters Emergency Committee for Ukraine."

Raffle tickets cost £2, or £10 for a strip of five. All money raised will go directly to the DEC.
