Man arrested on suspicion of drunk driving after a crash on the A249 near Stockbury closes road for an hour

Police were called after a two-car crash on the Maidstone-bound A249 this morning, and have arrested a man.

It happened just outside Stockbury at 8.53am.

The 28-year-old was detained on suspicion of drink-driving and is "currently being taken into custody".

Officers attended and the road was closed until about 10am while the carriageway was made safe.
