Milton Regis Court Hall reopens as a museum nine years after it closed

A museum at Milton Regis Court Hall has officially reopened.

The historic venue, which was originally used as a civic centre, closed in 2006.

Its rehabilitation as a visitor attraction is thanks to the Friends of Milton Regis Court Hall (FMRCH), a registered charity which took over the building’s lease last May.

The hall in Milton Regis High Street will be open every Saturday until September 26

The museum will open between 10am and 4pm every Saturday until September 26.

Attractions include a mammoth’s tusk, but the building itself is the real star, according to FMRCH trustee and secretary, Paul David.

Entry is free and is open for group visits by appointment.
