Pool cue threat to motorist

POLICE are appealing for information after an apparent road rage incident involving two motorists.

A father was driving with his son in Grovehurst Road, Sittingbourne, when he became aware of a silver coloured Peugeot 206, containing two men, driving behind him.

The father was unhappy about the manner in which the Peugeot was being driven so he accelerated to get away from the vehicle. Those in the Peugeot appeared to take offence at this and began following him.

Shortly afterwards, both cars stopped at traffic lights in East Street and the passenger from the Peugeot got out, approached the victim’s car and began to hit the window and windscreen with a pool cue.

The victim managed to drive away from the offender and immediatly reported the incident, which happened at about 7.30pm on May 8, to police.

Anyone who witnessed what happened is asked to contact police in Mid Kent on 01622 604180. Alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 (this call is free and confidential).
