Norton Sports return home to Sittingbourne on Saturday, ending their two-year enforced exile at Herne Bay.

They host Sevenoaks in the Safety Net Kent League Premier Division at their new permanent home at Woodstock Park in Broadoak Road.

Norton were forced to move elsewhere after winning the Kent County League in 2008, with their ground in the village failing to meet the criteria required for promotion and agreed a groundshare deal at Winch’s Field

Player-manager Ben Taylor said: "Everyone’s happy to be going back and we can’t wait.

"I have to thank all the players for staying loyal to the club and to the committee for all their hard work in helping us get back."

Secretary Colin Page added: "It has taken a lot of time and planning to get to this stage.

"We have invested around £15,000 on new hardstanding areas, new fencing and have purchased a new stand but it will all be worthwhile when the boys run-out."

The club are reducing admission prices for the game to £3 for adults, £1 concessions and under-16s free if accompanied by an adult.
