A man suffered serious injuries after his leg was crushed at Milton Pipes.

Police, fire, ambulance crews were called to the scene, in Gas Road, Milton Regis, at 4.51pm yesterday.

Ambulance crews, including a Hazardous Area Response Team, attended.

A spokesman said: “The man in his 50s had injuries to his leg and was taken as priority to Medway Maritime hospital.”

Police said the matter has been referred to the Health and Safety Executive.
