James Pinnock and Laurence Harvey could line up against Sittingbourne rather than for them in Whitstable Town clash

Sittingbourne face a swift reunion with two familiar faces when they host Whitstable on Saturday.

Brickies boss Joe Dowley was hoping to be able to include forward James Pinnock and centre-back Laurence Harvey in his team for the derby but instead the pair could be lining up against him.

Former Bourne defender Harvey and ex-Maidstone striker Pinnock were both available last week and Dowley revealed he had hoped to bring them to Bourne Park.

He said: "I had hoped both would be signing for us at training on Thursday night but I got a call and was told that both of them were going to sign for Whitstable. I think it’s due to money.

"I told them that if anything changed then I’d like to talk to them again. They would have been perfect for us but it wasn’t to be.

"We’ll move on. It is not a massive blow. I’ll start looking again."
