Caravan blaze near Sittingbourne High Street

Police and firefighters were called after a derelict caravan went up in flames near a town high street.

Two fire engines attended the scene near Sittingbourne High Street at midnight on Saturday night.

Using a hose reel jet, it took fire crews just half an hour to put out the blaze, and there were no reported injuries, although significant damage was done to the caravan.

The cause of the blaze is unknown.

Kent Police has been contacted for comment.
