Sport Relief calls to be taken by Response staff at Kent Science Park

Sport Relief donation calls will be taken by housing association AmicusHorizon’s contact centre.

Eighty staff members who work for Response, which is based on the Kent Science Park, have volunteered to help answer 50 dedicated lines between 6pm and midnight on March 21.

They will also be holding raffles, games and cake bakes to help raise money. Last year, the business won small contact centre of the year at the European Call Centre and Customer Service Awards, as well as a customer contact association global excellence award.

On the back of their success, the team decided to submit an application form to the charity detailing what it could offer on the night. They were then contacted and told they’d been picked.

Team leader Rebecca Tracy said: “Sport Relief is a fantastic fundraising event and we’re thrilled Response has been chosen to take calls on the night.

“We’re now looking for help from local businesses to donate raffle prizes, and we’re looking for companies to provide food for the volunteers on the night – we need to keep their energy levels up.”

Businesses able to supply donations are asked to email contactus@amicushorizon.org.uk or call 0800 121 6060.
