The busy road, which is home to The Sittingbourne School, is being repaired as part of the council's £7.5 million pothole initiative.

Since the beginning of the year, KCC has fixed more than 26,000 potholes in response to more than 14,000 reports of faults.

A diversion for motorists who wish to use the road is yet to be arranged.

The road will be closed from 3.20pm on August 24, until 11.59pm on August 27.
