Air ambulance lands in Rectory Park, Sittingbourne

The air ambulance was called to a medical emergency in Sittingbourne today.

A police spokesman said: "We were called by South East Coast Ambulance Service at 9.30am to assist with a medical incident reported at a property in Coombe Drive, Sittingbourne. Officers are currently at the scene."

The ambulance service confirmed it was called to a "medical incident" but wouldn't comment on the details.

A spokesman added: "The air ambulance was landing to assist us on a call to a nearby private address."

Kent Air Ambulance control said its helicopter was despatched from Redhill at 9.33am.

It landed in Rectory Park.
