More than 400 cannabis plants found in Sittingbourne after warrant

More than 400 cannabis plants have been found after a police raid on a property in a town.

Officers executed a warrant at an address in Sittingbourne earlier today and were still there for much of the afternoon collecting evidence.

Four people have been arrested in connection with the discovery.

Swale's police team tweeted: "Warrant executed at an address in Sittingbourne today by SwaleCPT and SwaleDSU.

"3 persons arrested for cultivation of over 400 plants. Currently on scene assisting collecting evidence. #JointOperation #GoodJobBud #NotAFan."

It was later clarified that it was four people who had been taken into custody.

Police have been contacted for more information.
