Sue Robinson raised nearly £400 with still more to be collected for The Brain Appeal and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neuroscience (NHNN), in London.

Her son Dammar, 20, was treated there two years ago after being diagnosed with the rare condition Arteriovenous Malformation.

Sue, 44, of Wellesley Road, had her hair shaved at Hair Profile, Victory Street, Sheerness, on Saturday.

She said: “A lot of people said that it suits me and it’s for a good cause, but I have had a few mixed comments.”

The money will go towards NHNN’s bid to raise £2m for two more operating theatres.
