Islanders are the worst offenders when it comes to dumping unwanted Staffordshire Bull Terriers, a kennel owner has claimed.

Of 29 dogs seeking new homes from a kennel in Sittingbourne 25 of them are Staffordshire Bull Terriers or Staffie crossbreeds, and several of them are known to have come from Sheppey.

RSPCA branch chairman Angela Walder says the Staffie problem is in crisis.
