Sheppey's weather oracle says we could be in for yet another cold spell next week.

Darren Prescott, who monitors the weather from his home in Bay View, said there is a good chance of a significant cold spell because of the high pressure building in the north.

The 30-year-old said a jet stream which is heading south means we could up with cold and snowy weather again.

He said: "The deep area of cold over Scandinavia will be pulled towards us and as it crosses the North Sea it will undoubtedly bring snow and a fair bit too."

He added that the cold air will arrive on Tuesday and from then on it looks like it will be very cold for at least a few days, with snow at times.

But don't panic yet - Mr Prescott said the weather has been very changeable recently and anything could happen over the next few days.
