Following last week’s story about a UFO watching Sheppey, another reader has contacted the Times Guardian to say she has spotted strange lights in the sky.

Karen Waller, a full-time mum from Queensway, Sheerness, says she saw a bright orb like light while watching the fireworks after the Sheppey Carnival on Saturday evening.

Her claim comes just days after Kathleen Donovan, of Broadway, Sheerness, came forward saying she had caught a UFO on video.

Karen said: “It was moving along slowly as if watching the fireworks itself. I asked out loud to other people standing close by what it was but nobody knew.

“The light was too bright to be a Chinese lantern and too low to be an aircraft light. It was like an orb with a brighter centre. Eventually, the light just disappeared.”

When Karen, 36, read a national newspaper on Monday which had a story about UFOs, she saw a photo of the kind of light she had seen.

“I’ve not seen anything like this before, it just looked so odd.”

Since appearing in the Times Guardian last week, Mrs Donovan has appeared in national newspapers and on Sky News.
