Men arrested over raid on Gemini Jewellers, High Street, Sheerness

Detectives have charged two men in connection with a burglary at a town centre jewellers.

James Murphy, 34, of Lapwing Close, Minster, and Jonathon Robert Walker, 31, of Oslac Road, Lewisham, are accused of conspiracy to commit a burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal.

Both were charged on January 26 following an incident at Gemini Jewellers, High Street, Sheerness, on June 23 last year.

Murphy was remanded in custody and appeared at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on January 28, where he was remanded to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on February 13.

Walker has been bailed to appear before magistrates on February 22.
