Queenborough pervert got his penis out on train going to Sheerness

A pervert exposed himself to passengers during an 18-minute train journey before performing a sex act on himself at a station.

A few months later, James Woods stripped off in his living room and stood at the window, swinging his hips and genitals in the view of shocked passers-by.

The 51-year-old, of Manor Close, Rushenden, admitted two counts of exposure and one count of outraging public decency and this week appeared before Folkestone Magistrates Court for a pre-sentencing hearing.

The bench heard that, on May 16, train staff were alerted to a man acting inappropriately on board a train from Sittingbourne to Queenborough. The alarm was raised by passengers which could see him from the platform.

Prosecutor Neil Sweeney told the bench Woods had his fly open and his genitals showing.

He added: “Checks were carried out and he was seen on the train with a pizza box which had smoke coming out of it and he was smoking a cigarette.

“His jeans were open and his was exposing his penis, it was not erect and was not being held by him, but it was believed he intended people to see and this continued for most of the rest of his journey, which was about 18 minutes and only covered his penis with his hand when he was spoken to.”

After leaving the station at Queenborough, Woods was then spotted on steps outside the station masturbating while members of the public walked by.

A few months later, on July 23 and July 24, he was seen flashing people from his home.

The pervert took all his clothes off and stood at his window swinging his hips in view of several passers-by.

The matter was reported to police but, less than 24 hours later, Woods was spotted by another person, a dog walker, naked in his lounge.

Mr Sweeney added: “He was in the living room and walked to the window and waved his penis about, he then turned around and sat in the chair with his legs spread, so there was an intention of exposing himself.”

The court heard Woods was in breach of a crown court order he’d previously been given for flashing people in the past and had a previous conviction for a a similar crime in 2014.

The case was sent to Maidstone Crown Court and Woods was remanded in custody until then.

The date of his sentencing hearing is yet to be set.
