Now you can track where readers have been

For the past 18 months, the Times Guardian has gone global.

Readers have taken Sheppey’s favourite read all over the world on holiday.

From Cape Town to Fiji, Orlando to St Petersburg, the mighty STG has collected more air miles than Sir Richard Branson.

Now, the idea is taking another bold step with its own section here on our website.

By clicking on the Times Guardian overseas button on the homepage beneath the water walking video, you will be taken to an interactive map.

Then all you have to do is hover the cursor over one of the red dots and you can see who has been where.

We are going to attempt to get the majority of the submitted pictures uploaded, but this will not always be possible, especially if they are from places already highlighted.

What we really need are the sparsely covered areas to get some red dots on them.

For example, if you’re planning a visit to South America, Russia or Japan, don’t forget to take your Times Guardian.

Times Guardian overseas is the latest development from the website.

Last month we established Memory Lane online, enabling people all over the world to read Bel Austin’s work.

We have also taken Around the Clock online as well, asking readers to take part and enjoy more teaser pictures.

Editor Matt Ramsden said: “The website really is going places. Last month was our most successful in terms of page impressions – or clicks on the site.

“By moving popular parts of the paper online, we hope to further cement our place as Sheppey’s number one multi-media provider.

“We will continue to run these sections in the paper as well.”
