Two men charged with supplying crack cocaine after find at Sheerness home

Two men have been charged with supplying crack cocaine after a quantity of the drug was reportedly seized from a Sheerness home.

Due to suspected drug dealing in the area, officers from the Swale Proactive Team attended an address in Richmond Street on Wednesday afternoon.

A total of 39 wraps of the class A substance were recovered.

Ashleigh Sharpe, 26, of Richmond Street, Sheerness, and George Wright, 32, of Church Road, Sittingbourne, were each charged with possessing crack cocaine with intent to supply.

Wright was also charged with an additional count of possessing amphetamine with intent to supply in connection with a separate search of a car.

Both were remanded in custody to attend Medway Magistrates’ Court today (Friday).
