A 46-year-old man accused of attempted murder has appeared before a judge at Maidstone Crown Court.

Kelvin Gray, of St Agnes Gardens, Sheerness, was not asked to enter a plea to the charge and the hearing was adjourned until June 2.

Gray is alleged to have tried to kill Sonja Wraight, 54, on January 29. She was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham to be treated for multiple stab wounds.
