Man denies murdering father of two

A 23-year-old man denied murdering a father of two children when he appeared at Maidstone Crown Court today.

Kieron Barnes is accused of killing Roy Rossiter who was fatally injured during an incident in Clyde Street, Sheerness, on December 22 last year. Mr Rossiter, formerly from Faversham, died on Christmas Eve.

Mr Barnes, of no fixed address, is due to stand trial on October 20. He was remanded in custody.
