Green fence erected for bird safety

Motorists driving on and off the Island may have wondered why a large green coloured fence has been put up on open farmland near Cowstead Corner.

The Times Guardian was equally curious so we called SEEDA (The South East England Development Agency) to see if they could shed any light.

And a spokesman said: “The green fencing forms part of the contract works at Neats Court, being carried out by Edmund Nuttall on our behalf. The work underway is to prepare the site for development as employment space as set out in the masterplan on the regeneration project for Queenborough and Rushenden."
