Five charged over raid on Co-op store in Queenborough, Sheppey

Five people have been charged in connection with a raid on a shop.

The burglary took place shortly before 6am at the Co-op store in Main Road, Queenborough, on Tuesday, September 13 last year.

Ricky Chambers, 26, Bill Taylor, 27 and Cally Oswell, 29, all of Cliff View Gardens, Warden, Michael Chambers, 30, previously of Grange Park Road, Thornton Heath, and Reece Whiting, 25, of James Street, Sheerness, have all been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.

Ricky Chambers and Michael Chambers were both additionally charged with one count each of attempted robbery relating to a separate incident on Friday, September 9 in Sheerness.

Ricky Chambers, Whiting, Taylor and Oswell all appeared before Medway magistrates on Tuesday, February 7.

Following the court appearance Whiting, Taylor and Oswell were all bailed. Ricky Chambers was remanded in custody.

Michael Chambers was charged today and was also remanded.

They will all appear before Maidstone Crown Court at a future date.
