Firefighters cut roof off car to free trapped woman following collision in Minster

A woman has been taken to hospital following a crash involving two cars this morning.

Police, ambulance and fire crews were called to High Street, Minster, outside the Highlander pub, at around 8.30am.

Initial reports suggested two women were trapped in one of the vehicles, however, one of them was able to get out and walk with the help of paramedics.

Firefighters from the Sheppey station stabilised the car and removed the roof to free the second lady.

Both casualties were left in the care of ambulance staff, one of whom was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital, Gillingham.
