A TEENAGER accused of murder has made her first crown court appearance.

Kirsty Scamp, 19, of the High Street, Sheerness, spoke only to confirm her name when she appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday via a television link with Bronsfield Prison in Middlesex, where she is on remand.

Prosecutor, Alan Kent, told the court Ms Scamp faced an allegation of murdering 28-year-old Jason Bull, who was living with her at the time.

Mr Bull died on Monday, March 13 - his 28th birthday - in Beach Street, Sheerness, from stab wounds.

Ms Scamp appeared wearing a white top and grey tracksuit bottoms with her haird tied back in a ponytail.

She is due to appear again at Maidstone Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on June 2.
