A crash has blocked a major road this morning.

It is thought three vehicles were involved in the smash on the Lower Road, near the boot fair field.

An eyewitness said it took him about 25 minutes to get through the traffic.

Another witness said: "Three-car accident at boot fair Lower Road reported 30 minutes ago.

"Roads now chaos."

A police spokesman said officers were called at 10.48am, three vehicles were involved including "at least one car" and they were moved to the side of the road.

They added the road was not closed.
