Children enjoy day of Dahl at school

School children spent a morning hearing about Revolting Rhymes and Big Friendly Giants courtesy of a Roald Dahl expert.

Key stage two pupils at St Edward's Primary School had a visit from actor Anthony Pedley last Wednesday for a Taste of Dahl day.

Mr Pedley, who plays the giant in the stage production of the BFG, gave a presentation about the popular author's life, using extracts from all his books, which include Fantastic Mr Fox and George’s Marvellous Medicine.

Simon Vaz , year six teacher, said: “The kids absolutely loved it.

“It was a very successful day and the kids were completely engrossed – they were taking part and laughing.”
