A WIDOW died of natural causes after a fire at her bungalow in Minster on Sheppey, a post mortem has revealed.

Pat Barnard, 75, who lived in the warden-assisted property in Kent Avenue, was taken to Medway hospital suffering from burns after the incident in her lounge late on January 27. She was then transferred to East Grinstead hospital in Sussex where she died on Janaury 29.

Three pumps were called to the fire which was out by the time crews arrived.

The Mid Kent coroner was informed but no inquest will be held because of her death from natural causes.
