Behind baaas - sheep flocks to Elmley Prison

A sheep.
A sheep.

When a plucky sheep left his shepherd he ended up getting stuck with a bunch of crooks.

The woolly wanderer had made a break for freedom from a farm on the Isle of Sheppey, only to find himself stuck in the grounds of Elmley Prison, Eastchurch.

The sheep, who's been named Shaun, appears to have jumped over a fence before getting stuck.... not quite behind baaas but in the perimeter of the high-security prison.

Officials phoned the RSPCA, who flocked to his rescue.

The RSPCA's Klare Kennet tells us about the rescue attempt

Klare Kennet from the charity said Shaun was back safe after his close shave, despite trying to fleece his rescuers.

She said "The sheep was running about for 40 minutes. We had to chase it for quite a while to corner it as it was quite enjoying its run around. It was later reunited with the farmer that owns it."
