Coronavirus Kent: Sheerness artist Richard Jeferies shares colouring sheets for frazzled parents

Sheppey artist Richard Jeferies has been posting drawings on social media for children stuck at home to colour in.

He said: "This is something to keep the minds of children of all ages active while we are going through these strange days. Feel free to share anywhere as it looks like we are here for a while."

The daily colouring sheets began last Thursday and so far include a spaceman, a pirate, a ghost, a shaggy dog and a rainbow.

All feature his favourite character Luna the Librarian.

Mr Jeferies from James Street, Sheerness, is a well known face on the Island having painted murals on the seawall at Beachfields. His latest was of a giant bee at the entrance to Barton's Point Coastal Park.

The father of four has appealed for suggestions for further artworks.

He said: "Any other picture suggestions to keep me going would be appreciated."
