Police are warning motorists not to leave any valuables in their vehicles when driving to a beauty spot for a walk after incidents in Toy's Hill.

The owners of the car had been walking and returned to find the bag, which they left in the boot, had been stolen.

On Boxing Day a bag that had been concealed under a blanket was stolen from a vehicle also parked in Toy's Hill.

Officers are advising motorists not to leave valuables in their cars - even if they are concealed - as thieves may be watching and know where the items are hidden.
