The Edenbridge primary school pupil plays the best friend of Johannes 'Jojo Rabbit' Betzler in the film, directed by Taika Waititi.

Archie's co–star Scarlett Johansson lost out on the Best Supporting Actress award to Laura Dern for her role as Nora Fanshaw in Marriage Story.

The film was nominated for six awards including Adapted Screenplay, Editing, Production Design, Costume Design and Original Score.

The satirical take on Nazi Germany beat popular front runners Joker, 1917 and Little Woman to take home the gold.

Archie has since been cast to feature in Disney's Home Alone reboot alongside actor Rob Delaney.
