Former Ministry of Defence site Fort Halstead near Sevenoaks is scene of accident involving man being crushed by dumper truck

The air ambulance and paramedics were scrambled after a man was crushed by a dumper truck at Fort Halstead near Sevenoaks.

The man, aged in his 40s, was taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital with a fractured leg.

He was fully conscious when he was taken by road to the hospital, but was transported as a priority patient.

The incident on Crow Drive happened just before 9am yesterday.

It is thought to have been an accident, but police were also called to the scene to investigate.
