Restaurant refurbishment creates extra jobs

FIFTEEN new jobs will be created at a restaurant as it undergoes a £400,000 refurbishment.

The Woodlands Beefeater Restaurant, in Wrotham Road at Gravesend, has closed its doors until early June while the transformation takes place.

The extra jobs include vacancies for chefs, hosts, bar staff, cleaners, reception and restaurant staff. The Woodlands is planned to reopen on Saturday, June 2.

General manager of The Woodlands, Rita Hickman said: “We are looking forward to welcoming back guests, both current and new when we re-open.”
