Those extras help with sale

MODERN designer homes in popular areas have sold just as well the second time around after their owners added that little bit extra.

Strutt and Parker’s Canterbury office sold two second hand houses built by Miliwood Designer Homes in one month.

A house in Chantry Park, Sarre, which had a guide price of £695,000, was one of the first of the larger houses on the development to be resold since it was completed about two years ago.

Accommodation included six bedrooms, four bathrooms and four reception rooms. The first owners had upgraded the already generous specification helping the property to achieve a premium price.

Old Nursery House, in Morgan Kirby Gardens, Sheldwich, was from a development, completed seven years ago.

The owner had added an Amdega conservatory to the back of the property and carried out landscaping and planting to create a charming garden setting.

Both sold to local businessmen after attracting interest from both the local and national market.
