Luxury living in conservation area

APPLEDORE Developments Ltd is creating a series of 10 luxury apartments at Elmfield Place in Tenterden with the help of Kent architect, Clague.

Kingsley Hughes, one of Clague’s architects working on the scheme, said: “Elmfield Place was conceived with great care for its setting and is located in a key corner site within a conservation area in the attractive market town of Tenterden.

“This contextual approach required meticulous attention to planning, massing, detailed design and materials which led to the scheme receiving planning permission in this very demanding location.”

The lower half of the development will be self-contained duplex garden apartments in an innovative design, each with their own private access.

They will include spectacular two-storey living spaces with mezzanine galleries and will have their own private gardens to both the upper and lower storey.

The upper floor will have stunning penthouse apartments with dramatic rooms and open cathedral ceilings, giving the feel of very high quality barn conversions.
