Homes going up on old brewery site

WORK is under way to build 22 new homes on a former brewery site in Faversham, which will be the last part of the Creekside area of the town to be developed.

Monro Homes will carry out the work at the former Shepherd Neame site on Belvedere Road with the first properties expected to be completed early 2008.

The project will consist of two, three and four-bedroom townhouses and continues regeneration of the area.

Isabelle Pocock, from Monro Homes, said: "This development will be in a prime residential area that has its own unique charm and appeal and we are anticipating a high level of interest once the properties are completed.

"This area of Faversham is very vibrant and we are pleased to be restoring a redundant part to help meet local housing needs."

Sue Lattin, from Kings Hill-based Vertex Law, which is handling the sales, said: "This is an important development which will be located in a much-sought-after area of Faversham and completes the regeneration of a very picturesque part of the town."
