Giving first-time buyers more choice

A new low-cost home ownership scheme, MyChoiceHomeBuy, is now on offer at Origins, the development of 21 homes near Ashford town centre, making buying a property more affordable for first-time buyers.

MyChoiceHomeBuy enables buyers to own their own home from as little as 50 per cent of the purchase price.

This is specially designed to help key workers, and existing tenants of housing associations and local councils.

It will also be attractive to those living with parents or renting due to high property values.

The scheme is available for households with an income of between £20,000 and £60,000. There is no deposit to pay and there is a £1,500 contribution towards moving costs from the developer, Ward Homes.

Origins is made up of eight one-bedroom, nine two-bedroom and four three-bedroom houses.

Each has a kitchen designed and fitted out by specialists, concealed work surface lighting and ceiling downlighters. Kitchen finishes, doors and worktops have been selected from the Ward Homes’ range and a variety of appliances are included.

Bathrooms and cloakrooms have ceramic wall tiling and all homes have gardens and residents’ parking areas.

Prices at Origins at Falcon Way start at £130,000 for a one-bedroom home.

With MyChoiceHomeBuy the property can be bought for as little as £65,000.
