ANT Payne and James Dean are to take part in the Kent Charity Challenge.

The kmfm radio DJs have each pledged to make the leap off the side of the Fremlin Walk buiding in Maidstone's town centre to raise funds for the Heart of Kent Hospice and the KM Walking Bus.

The pair will be making the 100ft descent to Earl Street along with volunteers from the public in a sponsored abseil on Saturday, April 26. The friends and rival presenters are each appealing to their fans to back their brave attempt and have set up a web-page where listeners can pledge support.

There is still time for others to join them. Volunteers need to raise a minimum of £75 in sponsorship to take part. The proceeds of the abseil will be divided 70/30 between the Aylesford hospice and the KM Walking Bus charity. To take part in the abseil, visit the abseil section of the website www.kentcharitychallenge.co.uk

If you would like to sponsor Ant or James, visit their JustGiving page via the kmfm website: www.kmfm.co.uk
