Party atmosphere at Race for Life

It was perfect weather for running on Sunday when 3,000 women took part in the Folkestone Race for Life in aid of Cancer Research UK.

People of all ages and abilities took part; some in wheelchairs and even a baby strapped to mum’s chest.

Cancer had affected the lives of many of those who took part - either as sufferers themselves or because friends and relatives had been struck by the disease.

Organiser Natasha Etienne said: “The weather was brilliant and it was a real party atmosphere.”
