Listeners to KMFM for Medway helped the radio station raise more than £2,000 for Comic Relief.

The Red Nose Day Marathon, sponsored by Rainham car dealership Hidsons, took place last Friday.

Breakfast show presenter Oli Kemp and drive host Rob Wills led a day long charity auction with daytime DJ Vanessa Elms, Tony Blackburn and station staff at our Strood HQ also pitching in.

Prizes up for grabs during the 11 hour broadcast included driving lessons, go-karting sessions at Buckmore Park and a bathroom suite - complete with fixtures and fittings. A total of £2,532 was raised.

Oli said: "It was really good even with a minimum of planning. We were so impressed with the final total.

"We would like to thank everyone who dug their hands into their pockets and gave so generously.

"KMFM for Medway listeners are known to be the most generous in Kent and this just proves it."
