The annual cycling challenge event takes place on Sunday, April 24, and is now open for booking.

Participants have the option to raise money for their favourite charities, or to support foundations involved with the ride such as Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance.

Alternatively, the event can be entered by those wanting to progress their cycling efforts, general fitness, or leisure activities.

Organised by the KM Charity Team, the Vattenfall-supported ride accommodates to all levels of ability.

A 50K countryside route is available for the more casual rider, whilst sportive cyclists will enjoy the benefits of the 100K coastal option.

Both routes start and conclude at Betteshanger Country Park, near Deal in which all participants will be rewarded with a souvenir medal and goody bag upon completion.

Lisa Craig, events manager at the KM Charity Team, said: “We welcomed more than 450 riders last year which served up a fantastic mix of age ranges, activity levels and personal preferences. With this year’s ride, we aim to build on this success and see an even broader variety of entrants.”

Book for the event at www.kmbigbikeride.co.uk and use the code KMPRBB16 for a £5 discount.

Riders aged 12 to 17 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
