Invicta Dynamos head coach Kevin Parrish believes he has now assembled a squad capable of pushing the top teams all the way.

Parrish was delighted to clinch the signing of Shaun Yardley before the end of January, when players must be registered by, in order to feature in the end of season play-offs.

Yardley comes in to help ease the loss of Harrison Lillis, who opted to join NIHL South Division rivals Streatham.

“We have got a good enough team and squad and it has improved,” said coach Parrish.

“We are only five points off the leaders and two behind the second place team with a game in hand. Last year we were 10-12 points behind. We are now closing the gap, breathing down their necks and waiting for others to slip up.

“We lost Harrison but we’ve replaced him with a guy with massive experience. He has won trophies in EPL and in our league. He has come in as a utility man but I am likely to use him mainly as a D-man."

The Mos are in league and cup action this weekend and are favourites to win both matches.

Yardley wasn’t available last weekend but is expected to make his Dynamos debut on Saturday. The Mos are at home to Cardiff NIHL Devils at Silver Blades from 5.15pm.

On Sunday they are in Southeast Trophy action with a game at London Raiders.
