Gillingham’s updated 2023/24 fixtures

Gillingham’s first ever competitive game at Forest Green Rovers’ New Lawn Stadium has been moved to Friday, December 22 with a 7pm start.

The fixture was initially set to be played on Saturday, December 23rd.

A change to the Friday night evens out the space between fixtures during the festive period. The Gills host Crawley Town on Boxing Day.

The club’s trip to Notts County, meanwhile, has been brought forward to Friday, February 9 (7.45pm) to avoid clashing with Nottingham Forest’s home Premier League game against Newcastle United on the Saturday.

Gillingham have also confirmed some of their cup dates for the new season.

Southampton head to Priestfield for the first round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, August 8 (7.45pm). That comes days after the season opener at Stockport County on Saturday, August 5.

The Gills will host Leyton Orient at Priestfield on Tuesday, September 5 (7pm) in their first game of the EFL Trophy first round group stage.

Neil Harris’ men visit Portsmouth on Tuesday, October 10 (7.45pm) but a date for the home game against Fulham under-21s has yet to be confirmed.
